Emergency Kitchen Following Fire

The Olive Branch is an award winning gastro pub in Clipsham in the county of Rutland, winners of the Good Pub Guide, UK Pub of the Year, GQ Food & Drink Award Winner and many more.

Sadly an unfortunate fire which broke out at about 5am in a single-storey wooden outbuilding in the pub grounds resulted in the loss of much of their existing kitchen facilities.

Wishing to remain open, owner Ben Jones contacted On-Site Kitchen Rentals Ltd explaining:

We were literally just recovering from the effects of the pandemic and back to some form of normality.

We responded within 24 hours with an immediate design concept that perfectly suited the restaurant's chefs, ensuring no alterations were required to the existing menu.

Emergency Kitchen

Following insurance negotiations we then supplied a new temporary kitchen within 4 working days. Owner Ben Jones was delighted:

The fire was on Wednesday the 15th of December just before Christmas, our busiest time of the year. We called the On-Site team that day and specified what we needed. They built the kitchen on the Friday, delivered it on the Monday, commissioned it on Tuesday and we were cooking in it on Wednesday the 22nd. Only a week after the fire we were back to full capacity and none of our Christmas bookings were affected.

Utilising our Maxi kitchen and an Atom dishwasher with connecting corridor, the kitchen contained everything the client required to continue to serve their award winning menu.

Equipment included a range, Rational combi, char grill, canopy, fryer, sink, wash hand basin, water heater, rack, fridge, freezer and a separate dishwasher unit.

Long Term Hire

The hire was ongoing and the client has worked with it successfully for several months whilst insurance assessments and subsequent repairs and renovations take place.
